Wood signs a trio of global engineering agreements with bp
Wood is making changes to its Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to support the delivery of the company’s recently launched strategy and growth ambitions.
Having initially joined the ELT in 2020, Mike Collins will assume a new role as Executive President of Business Sustainability & Assurance. As part of this remit, he will lead Wood’s focus on health, safety, security, sustainability, quality and supply chain across our businesses.
Throughout his career, Mike has worked in a variety of roles spanning operations, assurance and project delivery across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia and Europe. In his previous role as Executive President of Projects, Mike led the turnaround of the Projects business, and leaves a stronger, more predictable unit that is well positioned for future growth across energy and materials.
Craig Shanaghey will take on the Executive President of Projects role that Mike vacates, having previously led Wood’s global Operations business unit.
In a two-decade career at Wood, Craig has garnered considerable experience in managing large projects and portfolios of work. A chartered engineer and fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, Craig is an industry figurehead with a passion for diversity and inclusion.
In the final appointment, Steve Nicol will join the ELT as the new Executive President of Operations, following a successful 20+ year career at Wood.
Steve is an accomplished leader who has previously held a variety of roles in finance, commercial and business transformation, and most recently Group Deputy CFO. He is already very familiar with the Operations business unit having served as Chief Financial Officer of Wood’s former Asset Solutions business across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Ken Gilmartin, CEO at Wood, commented: “Having set out a new strategy at the end of last year, there is positive momentum across the business and real clarity of focus. The evolution of our leadership team is about putting the right people in the right roles to accelerate our efforts to build a great place to work, drive performance excellence and deliver profitable and sustainable growth.”
The new leadership changes will be effective from 1 February 2023.
All other ELT members will continue in their existing roles:
