Wood has teamed up with Abyssal, a 3D visualisation, simulation and digitalisation solutions provider to the oil and gas and marine renewables markets, to provide the latest digital technology aimed at improving the design, constructability, operation and inspection of subsea assets globally.
The technology will offer an innovative approach to subsea project delivery and operations through collaborative software and services in the areas of visualisation, simulation, operations and data management.

Leveraging the latest digital technology, Wood will work with oil and gas operators to provide enhanced capabilities which combine this technology with their extensive engineering and operational expertise. Key applications will include:
- Enhanced planning with ROV simulations to determine feasibility of operations
- Creating digital twins of subsea fields to optimise engineering
- 3D visualisation and operations management to enable tasks in complex low visibility subsea environments
- Digital collaboration to track real time operations and assets worldwide and perform remote troubleshooting
